Shirvan Kerimov Samara Biography

In this regard, during the year both in Azerbaijan and abroad, including in Russia, Azerbaijani public associations planned and conduct events dedicated to this date. Its leader Kerimov Shirvan Murvat Ogly, in an interview with the press service of the FNC Azerros, spoke about how the Samara Azerbaijanis noted significant dates of the historical homeland and their native organization, what prospects for Laso and what should be the head of the public organization of Azerbaijanis.

You got a double holiday: on the one hand, the flight of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, on the other, is the flight of the league, the organization to which you gave and give a lot of effort and energy. How did you mark these dates? According to the plan of the League, this year was declared the year of Azerbaijani culture in the Samara region. And the events that we will continue to be held this year will be dedicated to the anniversary of the Adr and the summer anniversary of our organization.

The impression of the event is very good. True, I expected to see a slightly different program on stage, against the backdrop of the fact that I had a personal tragedy. I had to be absent for several months in Samara. Usually we prepare for such events for at least a month. Based on the situation, this time only in April we gathered and decided that we will solemnly celebrate the two very important dates for us.

Therefore, there was a little more than a month to prepare for the holiday. In a three -hour concert program, all numbers were prepared exclusively by our activists. The concert was attended by two dance groups “Hayal” and “Alpan”, which were created by us and operating in the league, and the musical and instrumental ensemble “Hayal”. Among them - a high school student Aida and a student of the Nail Aerospace University, they literally grew up with the organization.

We once again became convinced that we can self -organize when necessary - to gather, and we can even do this in emergency cases. The nation in such cases proves that it has its roots, culture, its own history. You know, this is not easy - to be outside the historical homeland and hold such large -scale events and exclusively forces of the organization itself.

I also said about it from the stage, that each time, conducting significant events at a high level, we can be proud of this, and we have the right to stand on a par with other peoples living in the territory of the Russian Federation, Europe and in the countries of the East, which have their own ancient statehood. Still, we will finalize and reduce the concert program to 2 hours, and at the end of the year, in November or December, we will once again hold such an event, now as a gala concert, and we will complete the year of Azerbaijani culture in the Samara region.

What does the organization currently live? What achievements that have been developed over the entire period of activity or in recent years can you rightfully be proud of? For the past three to four years, we mainly have been directing our activities to the education of youth and the training of young personnel. At some point, we realized that our generation and those who are older than us are a “spoiled” generation.

They came to Russia, mainly in years, in order to solve their material problems, went through many difficulties and tests, worked in extreme and strict conditions in the labor market, retail, construction sites. Our generation is a generation x. And then we consolidated these people. Of course, there was a certain need for the unification, since there were human rights problems, crime, law enforcement agencies, and cultural issues faded into the background.

For three years, we coped with current issues and solved our paramount tasks, and then directed the main efforts to culture, sports, interaction with state bodies, other civil society institutions, public structures in state authorities - executive and legislative. And our today's result is not the result of the last years, but of all the work that we have been conducting for 15 years.

To create serious and efficient groups, years are needed. Of course, after a certain time continuity appears, some go away, others come. A system that works clearly is reducing the fruit over time. Our pride is the newspaper “The hearth”, but, unfortunately, for about two years it has not come out in connection with financial difficulties, objective and subjective circumstances and reasons.

Our most successful project is a project to attract and interaction with our youth. The Birlik youth section is translated from Azerbaijan - “Unity” is steadily working as part of Laso. And her backbone is the dance group "Hayal". If you take the achievements of recent years, then this is a successful performance of the Laso football team, which pleases us. This year, our team took first place in the Higher Division of the regional amateur football league.

This is also a good result. The team, in whatever tournaments, does not remain without prizes. We are also delighted with the successes of the Hayal and Alpan dance groups. If in “Hayal” dancing is mainly engaged in children - Azerbaijanis, then in Alpan they are both children and adults of different nationalities. The national composition of the dancers in Alpan is a mirror reflection of the national composition of the peoples inhabiting Azerbaijan.

In the ensemble, Tats, Talysha, Lezgins, Avars are dancing. We are very pleased that in just such an perspective we managed to collect this dance team. The repertoire of Hayala, of course, differs from the repertoire of Alpan. In Hayal - mainly Azerbaijani dances, and in Alpan - dances of different nations. And at our holiday, the Chechen, Avar Gorsky, respectively, was presented, and Azerbaijani dances.

Starting from the year, we are actively working and cooperating with various public structures. This is the Public Council at the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the Samara region, where I head the Commission on interaction with civil society institutions, the Public Chamber of the Samara Region, where I am a member of the relevant commission on culture and youth policy and the deputy chairman of the Commission on Legality, Human Rights, interaction with judicial, law enforcement agencies and PMCs.

We are also entering the Public Council under the Ministry of Labor, our chairman of the Council of Elders Damirov Shahbal is a member of this council. We are also represented in the Public Supervisory Commission of the Samara Region, which includes two of our representatives: retired police chairman Rakhman Aliyev and Anna Bataeva. I am also entering the recently created council on interethnic relations under the governor of the Samara region, earlier under the administration of the governor, the Expert-Analytical Council on Ethnic Confessional Policy functioned.

In a word, the league lives ordinary everyday life. Children play dancing, sports, football players play football, we go to different meetings, carry out work in different public structures and once a week we collect the organization’s board and discuss current issues, sometimes the appeals of citizens - Samara Azerbaijanis and Azerbaijan citizens. Over the past six years, I have also been taking a reception of citizens together with the head of the Main Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Samara Region, as a member of the Public Council under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the region.

Everyone who wants to find protection and support comes there. I am pleased that among them there are almost no Azerbaijanis who have problems with law enforcement agencies. There is a well -known Sorokin theory on social stratification and social mobility, which determines the quality of the stratum, that is, the layer of the Azerbaijani diaspora, if we talk specifically about Azerbaijanis who have moral right to head public associations of compatriots.

According to this theory, people striving for leadership are determined by four criteria: education, income, power and prestige. I will try to decipher. First of all, the head of a public organization must have a higher education. In this case, we are not talking about the presence of a diploma of graduation, but about the educational level. The leader must have the appropriate income so that he can support his family, but also spend money on the work of a public organization.

As a rule, when you seriously engage in social activities, the main work that brings income begins to limp due to the fact that you have to spend more time on public affairs. In a word, the leader needs to have a stably high income. And he should not need money so that there is no temptation to use the resources of a public organization for selfish purposes. The next, the head of the public organization must have power in the sense that he must have good relations with representatives and leaders of all levels of power.

He must be able to interact with these structures, because in one way or another, national and confessional organizations intersects with state -owned centuries, and the organization’s activity depends on how their relations develop. The leader - a social activist must be able to build relations with both representatives of public structures and civil society institutions.

And the reputation of this person should be impeccable. Resources, income, its interaction with power structures should not be criminal or semi -criminal in nature, they should be transparent and understandable and not harm its reputation. Speaking specifically about the leader - Azerbaijani, I believe that he should be the true patriot of both Azerbaijan and Russia.

If there is some one-sidedness, then the work will be limp, and it will always be on the verge of cheers-patriotism and nationalism. This is the specificity of our activity - to be a patriot of the two countries - Russia and Azerbaijan. He must combine these qualities and build his work in such a way that his activities serve the interests of the organization’s members. As a result, in large way, the organization should also affect interstate relations.

In one of his speeches, Vladimir Putin said that in Russia he considers the Azerbaijani diaspora a regulatory factor between Azerbaijan and Russia. We must regulate public attitude and form a public opinion about Azerbaijan and Azerbaijanis in Russia, and in the historical homeland - about Russia and Russians. If public organizations in their activities may affect improvement of interstate relations, I think this will say a lot about its activities.

I still want to note that there is no incubator who would grow leaders of public organizations. It comes more from its own nature, the state of the soul. A party functionary, a professional manager can be grown, but it is very difficult to raise and educate public figures. This is the story of life, starting from childhood ending with a university education, and it should grow in a certain environment as a public figure.

Experience shows that there are good businessmen who burn their souls for their culture, history, want Azerbaijanis to be in sight, hire professionals who are professionally engaged in social activities, but still the result is the same. When this person leaves the organization, it breaks up, because he could not grow his own kind. And if he is a real public figure, then sooner or later in this organization the same active and self -sufficient social activist will appear in this organization, and in the absence of a leader, he will be able to continue the story.

You went through many difficulties and problems, achieved significant results, and it is worth a lot. How do you assess the league prospects? In the fall, we will organize an exhibition of a member of the creative Union of Russian Artists by Bayram Salamov, as well as several creative competitions in different universities of the city. We had to hold these contests until May of this year, but my personal tragedy did not allow us to do this.

This is the competition "Azerbaijan through the eyes of Russian youth." I think that with God's help we will spend at a worthy level a year of Azerbaijani culture in the Samara region, as it was 5 years ago, when we had a large delegation from the Azerros FNC and other regional organizations. In the year, the year of Azerbaijani culture in Russia was held at the interstate level, and in the year the year of Russian culture in Azerbaijan.

Since the cross year of culture of Russia and Azerbaijan has not been held for more than 10 years, I want to organize the year of Azerbaijani culture in Russia at the regional level, within the framework of which a trip to the regional leadership in Azerbaijan will be planned to conduct a humanitarian forum with a cultural program there. If we manage to do this in the near future, I will consider this an excellent result of our work.

This cultural event will be the initiative of Laso, our dance groups will take part in it, the organization’s board will be involved. When the state holds such events, the participation of public organizations is minimized, but we want public organizations to take part in such events to the maximum that, ultimately, an agreement on cooperation in various fields is signed between the official government agencies of Azerbaijan.
