Biography of Andris Liepa

He became famous not only as an artist who has talent, but also as a born producer, director and choreographer, who was able to give the audience many amazing productions. Children's and youth years, the future soloist of ballet was born in the capital of Russia. This joyful event occurred on January 6 in the year in a creative family. Andris's mother was a gift actress, and dad was Maris Liepa - an eminent ballet dancer.

Soon after the birth of Andris, his younger sister, who was given the name Ilze, was born in the family. Parents, by virtue of their creative profession, did not have enough time to educate both children, for this reason they decided that the son needed to be sent with their grandparents on the paternal line. Thus, Andris spent the early years of biography in Riga. Therefore, as a three -year -old child, the heir to the ballet dancer knew the Latvian language very well, but he knew Russian very poorly.

When the boy returned to his hometown, he had to learn his native language again. Andris Liepa, in his youth, still, being a little boy, Andris really liked watching how his father dances. The performances of Liepa Sr. struck the boy’s heart so much that he wanted to follow in the footsteps of his father in the future. But the parents did not adjust the boy to choose a profession and in no case put pressure on this issue on the heir.

They comprehensively developed the creative potential in children, having recorded them in rhythmics, choreography, figure skating, gymnastics and music. In addition, Andris painted well, so the mother saw her son in the future as a great artist, but Andris chose another creative direction to which he dedicated his life. A significant place in the life of the future ballet star was given to sports.

In the evenings, brother and sister swam in the pool, ran, so when he began to study at a ballet school, Andris stood out against his peers with such qualities as hard work and endurance, thanks to which he did not complain about difficulties, but spent a lot of time in the hall, improving the skills. In the year, Liepa received a diploma of the Moscow Academic School.

During this period of time, his parents completed the divorce proceedings, but his father, despite the appearance of a new family, continued to communicate with his children, actively interested in what was happening in their life and giving wise advice. Ballet young years of Liepa were dedicated to activities in the Bolshoi Theater, an artist of which he has been for 8 years. The guy’s portfolio was replenished with parties from theatrical productions, which were based on classical works, and he also collaborated with such stars of this creative sphere like Nina Ananiashvili and Ekaterina Maksimova.

But this was not enough for Andris, he saw that his potential can be realized in a much larger volume than he could do it in the Russian Federation. His dream was to work abroad. This was destined to come true and Andris became the first Russian artist who was allowed to leave the country and work in a foreign troupe. When the dream came true, Andris had all his strength and this time can be called fruitful in the field of ballet.

He was a member of the American Ballet Theater and took part in productions, the author of which was Mikhail Baryshnikov. The dancer liked to travel, so his performances pleased fans of ballet of various states. However, the career’s career was threatened by a breakdown. This happened at the moment when Andris received a tear of cross -shaped ligaments. But, despite this, a tragic case, the artist continue to delight the fans with his performances for another five years.

This was the reason that Andris turned to faith. The choreographer accepted Orthodoxy, began the construction of the house in Diveevo and presented the local church one of the icons. It was a copy of the collection of his eminent dad. Leaving the dances, Andris directed his strength to build a career of the director. The man collaborated with the Latvian National Opera and representatives of the theater called the Kremlin Ballet.
