Victor Protasov Biography

Born on November 4 in Moscow. In the year he graduated from the Moscow Higher Technical School named after N. He worked since the Moscow Institute of Heat Engineering from the year: an engineer, a senior engineer, the head of the group, the head of the laboratory, and from the year - the secretary of the party committee of the institute.

Since January, the head and chief designer of the design and technology bureaucracy, the city of Khotkovo, Moscow Region. Since January, the director and chief designer of the Central Research Institute of Special Engineering, deployed on the basis of its former design bureau in Khotkovo. He became an outstanding Soviet researcher and designer in the design and creation of structures from polymer composite materials.

He formulated the general principles of designing systems of various configurations of the minimum mass and structural restrictions, provided that technological implementation. With its direct participation and under the leadership, many compositional polymeric materials were created, the technology of their manufacture was developed. He actively participated in the creation of a number of unique products for strategic missile systems on the basis of his materials, the technical characteristics of which had no analogues in the world.

Due to the defense orientation of his work, he was classified almost until the end of his life. The chief designer of the cases of missile engines and head fairings, parts of nozzle blocks. The service of the Soviet and Russian missile troops strategic purposes adopted dozens of its developments, for example, a unique transport and launch container for the Temp-2C missile rolling complex, the first and second steps of the sea-based solid fuel missile for submarines of the Typhoon class, many of the most important nodes of Pioneer missile systems, poplar and others.

Author from above scientific works, including 9 monographs, 3 textbooks, as well as inventions. By decree of the President of the USSR “closed” dated November 23, for outstanding merits in the creation of special purposes, Protasov Viktor Dmitrievich was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Golden Medal “Sickle and the Hammer”.

Also, over the years he was a consultant to the Department of Mechanics of Composites of the Mechanical and Mathematics Faculty of Moscow State University. He taught at the Moscow Aviation Technological Institute named after K. prepared 3 doctors of sciences and 7 candidates of sciences.

He died on March 25 of the year. He was buried in the city cemetery of Khotkovo Sergiev-Posad city district of the Moscow region.
