During the Great Patriotic War, he was a permanent consultant in the Office of evacuation hospitals in Stalingrad now - Volgograd. From the year he was the head of the evacuation hospital in Syzran.

In the year he returned to Stalingrad to restore the medical institute, headed the department and was the deputy director for scientific work. From the year, the director of Kuibyshevsky now - the Samara Medical Institute and at the same time headed the department of eye diseases until the last days of his life. Published more scientific works, including 3 monographs. The main direction of his research is the development of new surgical methods of treating eye diseases.

On the problem of keratoplasty, T. Eroshevsky wrote 2 monographs and 32 articles, performed transplanting operations. Under his leadership, the possibilities of prolonged conservation of donor material at low temperatures in dried state were studied. On the basis of the Kuibyshev Regional Eye Hospital, he organized the first bank of canned fabrics of the eye for keratoplasty.

Eroshevsky was a major specialist in the problem of glaucoma. In the year, at his department, a research laboratory was created to study this disease.

He made a particularly great contribution to the study of the problem of congenital glaucoma: he developed and improved microoperations - goniotomy and goniopuncture, proposed a new operation - penetrating gonidiaturmia. For the cycle of work on microsurgery glaucoma and its pathogenetic justification T. Eroshevsky together with M. Krasnov and A., under his leadership, at the department, was developed and introduced into practice a new method of studying the hydrodynamics of the eye - tonography - and the first electronic tonograph in the USSR was created.

By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated July 5, for great merits in the development of medical science, the training of scientific personnel and in connection with the seventy years of birth, Eroshevsky Tikhon Ivanovich was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Golden Avature “Sickle and the Hammer”.

He was a member of the Presidium of the All -Russian and All -Union Scientific Societies of Ophthalmologists, a member of the editorial board of the magazine "Bulletin of ophthalmology". He lived and worked in Kuibyshev now - Samara. He died on July 22. He was buried in Samara in a row cemetery. The Honorary Citizen of Samara 2 was awarded by 2 Orders of Lenin. The hero is the Samara clinical ophthalmic hospital and street in Samara.
