And most importantly, it is not easy for me to return freedom and dignity to the Dagestanis, exemption from bandits and terrorists, to revive education and culture, roads and museums, but at the same time falling under the endless attacks of people who did not really know me, but acted under the dictation of those who robbed and killed the republic for a quarter century.

I still succeeded in something, but how much it is necessary to do in Dagestan today to Sergey Melikov in order to raise the republic to the level of spirit and the viability of our ancestors, great sons and daughters, such as the phase of Aliyev, whose poems to help us in life, as wise advice and testament of parents, covering us with a bright light of hopes and creation.

A few days before the New Year, we agreed with the Gamzatovna phase to meet in a calm atmosphere together and record our conversation, her thoughts about life, about poetry, about Dagestan and Russia. She promised to show me her unpublished works, as well as the verses of the Avar poets with whom I and the readers were not familiar. She read many of them by heart. But the Almighty ordered in his own way, and the phase of Gamzatovna was gone on January 1 of the year.

I am very sorry that I could not once again meet her and enjoy her talent to the poet, thinker, citizen, close and dear person. Another bright star of Dagestan, Russia, and its sparks shine and are stored in our hearts, will go over the mountains, will be stored in the hearts of our children and grandchildren. Once again, I am convinced that a meeting with beautiful, smart and talented people cannot be postponed for later.

They are given to us from God, and they should be treated with great attention. The phase of Aliyev, with its bright light, accompanied me, as a caring sister in the army, in the public service in Dagestan, in Murmansk, Leningrad, Moscow, Saratov, Dushanbe. To know this beautiful man and poet and even go through many difficulties and tragedies with her - this helps to find the meaning of our existence in this world. Only spiritual, talented and good people are capable of this. It was among such people of high flight and bright light that our phase forever settled, which sang its people, its homeland, Dagestanis, Russians, carrying them the eternal ideals of truth, goodness and beauty.
